Some wedding venues are rented for a day.

Manoir Blackswan is meant to be lived in for the weekend.

Set on a private estate in historic Châteauguay, approximately 30 minutes from Montréal, the manor opens only a limited number of weekends each year for weddings, giving couples the rare feeling that the entire property truly belongs to them.

Seven bedrooms allow the people closest to the couple to stay at the estate, while gardens can welcome approximately 100 guests beneath the tent.

That means Friday can begin with arrivals rather than rushing.

People settle into their rooms.

The wedding slowly takes over the house.

Then Saturday arrives.

The vows happen.

Dinner begins.

Candles glow inside while the gardens outside grow dark.

And when midnight comes, nobody staying at the manor has to say goodbye.

They simply head upstairs.

The next morning becomes part of the story too.

Coffee on the terrace.

People still in pyjamas.

Stories from the dance floor already being retold.
