La Grange de la Gatineau

La Grange de la Gatineau gives a Cantley wedding the extraordinary romance of a historic log building beside the Gatineau River, surrounded by gardens and forest. Originally built as a pioneer barn in 1819, the property now welcomes weddings in a completely private setting only about twenty minutes from Ottawa and Gatineau.

Couples can exchange vows in the flower-filled garden overlooking the river or move inside to the Grand Hall, where a cathedral ceiling and garden views bring the historic building to life. An antique-filled library offers a beautiful place to prepare before the ceremony.

There is something almost fairytale-like about walking through gardens toward your vows with the river and forest beyond. The old logs, flowers and water make the moment feel timeless.

Then evening settles over the Gatineau, the forest grows dark and the Grand Hall glows warmly with dinner, laughter and dancing inside a building that has stood for more than two centuries.
