La Bullerie

La Bullerie feels like a wedding toasted with the vineyard's own sparkle, with the vines below, the village of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac spread out beneath the terrace and a glass of bubbles in every hand.

The estate was once La Roche des Brises, reborn after major renovations and opened as La Bullerie in the autumn of 2017. It is Quebec's first vineyard devoted to sparkling wine, growing five grape varieties on its hillside, and that focus gives a wedding here an easy, celebratory thread from the first toast to the last.

Ceremonies can take place under a marquee set among the vines, with the countryside all around. The reception then moves into one of two indoor rooms: the grande salle, which welcomes up to 150 guests around its wooden tables, or the restaurant, which seats up to 85 beneath white tablecloths. Chairs, tableware and glassware come with the room, so the couple's energy can go into the decoration rather than the basics.

The food belongs to chef Roberto Pietrollino, who brings twenty years of cooking to gastronomic menus paired with the house wines and built as far as possible from regional products. Menus can be shaped to the couple's wishes, with brunch and cocktail dinner options alongside the classic packages.
