Among the rolling hills of Bethany, Iron Horse Ranch feels as though it has been part of the Kawarthas for generations.

The beautiful timber barn was created using salvaged materials gathered from across Ontario, giving the building layers of history and character that cannot simply be manufactured. Outside, a two-acre pond, covered bridge and sweeping countryside give couples several completely different places to exchange vows and disappear for photographs.

Weddings of up to 200 guests can gather here, with harvest tables, wooden chairs and rustic benches helping set the scene for a warm country celebration.

Couples are given plenty of freedom to choose their own vendors and shape the property around their day. Three small cabins can even become playful additions to the celebration, from a whisky or oyster bar to a space created just for younger guests.

Once evening settles over the hills and the barn fills with music, the whole property takes on a different feeling.

Rustic without feeling ordinary, Iron Horse Ranch is a beautiful choice for couples who want history, countryside and a wedding with plenty of personality.
