Hobby Horse Farm gives an Annapolis Valley wedding hundreds of acres in which to feel wonderfully away from everything. The family-run Coldbrook property has been part of the landscape since 1969 and now welcomes weddings, retreats and large gatherings alongside its equestrian life.

The Farmhouse Lodge can accommodate up to 25 overnight guests across eight bedrooms and includes a large chef's kitchen, multiple gathering rooms, fireplaces and spaces for shared meals. Outside, the wider 550-plus-acre property brings fields, wooded trails and the unmistakable character of a working horse farm into the wedding experience.

For couples who love the peaceful countryside, the setting has a romance no styled barn backdrop can reproduce. Horses, fields and trees are not props here. They belong to the place.

A wedding can become a genuine retreat, with the closest people staying together, meals shared in the farmhouse and the celebration surrounded by the kind of Nova Scotia landscape that makes everyone slow down, leaving the kind of warm, romantic memory that feels almost storybook long after the last dance.
