Hernder Estate Wines

Hernder Estate Wines has been part of Niagara wedding stories for decades, and after everything the property has been through, couples are still very much getting married here.

The original barn was lost in the 2022 fire, but weddings now continue in the Luna Lounge, a warm, rustic reception space with a large walkout patio and room for up to 120 guests.

Outside, Niagara wine country still surrounds the celebration.

Couples can choose among several ceremony locations, including the lawn near the pond and covered bridge or the fieldstone patio. If the weather changes its mind, the venue can move the ceremony indoors rather than letting the forecast take over the day.

Smaller weddings belong here too, with elopement celebrations currently welcomed for groups of up to 50.

And of course, this is still Hernder.

The vineyards remain. Wine is made here. The covered bridge is still part of the landscape. Sunset still reaches the patio.

That gives the wedding something a newly built venue cannot copy.

It has history, resilience and a real connection to the land around it.

For couples who love Niagara wine country but want something warmer and more rustic than a formal estate ballroom, Hernder offers a celebration shaped by vineyards, stone, wine and a property that has kept finding a way to welcome people back.
