Hatley Castle has been looking like one for more than a century.

Set within the historic Royal Roads estate in Colwood, the castle rises above formal gardens, old-growth forest and an oceanfront landscape looking toward the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. The wider Hatley Park estate spans hundreds of acres, giving couples a wedding setting that feels wonderfully removed from everyday life.

The castle was created in the early 1900s as a grand family home, and its gardens remain one of the most romantic parts of the property. Italian, Japanese and rose gardens create completely different corners for photographs and quiet moments throughout the day.
