Hatfield Farm

Hatfield Farm gives couples a wedding that feels part country escape, part celebration and part storybook adventure. Only minutes from Halifax, the farm carries guests away from the city with horse-drawn transportation, a lakeside ceremony setting and a rustic lodge waiting for the reception.

Couples can marry beside the serene lake or, when the weather changes, indoors beside one of the lodge's stone fireplaces. The 5,000-square-foot post-and-beam lodge seats up to roughly 160 guests for wedding meals, with a dance floor, stage area and catering on site. Cabins and bunkhouses allow guests to stay overnight.
