Hart House

Some Toronto wedding venues give you a beautiful room. Hart House gives you more than a century of stories before your own even begins.

Set within the University of Toronto, this landmark building is filled with the kind of details that are almost impossible to recreate: carved stone, dark oak, arched ceilings, grand fireplaces and rooms that feel as though they belong to another era.

The Great Hall is the showstopper. Its enormous cathedral ceiling rises high above marble floors and oak-panelled walls, creating a dramatic setting for a wedding dinner, speeches and dancing beneath architecture that needs very little decoration.

There are several spaces throughout Hart House, allowing couples to choose a room around the size and feeling of their celebration and to hold the ceremony on site too.

Food is prepared in-house, and couples work with a dedicated wedding coordinator rather than choosing from a rigid one-size-fits-all package. Confirmed couples are also invited to a tasting while planning their menu.
