Others become unforgettable because the guest list is small enough that every person there feels woven into the day.

Haliburton Post House was made for the second kind.

Set on a private two-acre estate overlooking Kashagawigamog Lake, the Post House brings together lakeside scenery, cottages, thoughtful dining and enough accommodation for approximately 30 guests.

It is an intimate wedding in the truest sense.

The people you love do not simply arrive for dinner.

They stay.

They wake up beside the lake. They wander between cottages. They gather on the dock and settle into the property before the wedding has even begun.

Then comes the ceremony.

The lake stretches beyond the vows while everyone closest to you gathers nearby. Afterwards, photographs can happen around the water and grounds while guests simply enjoy being somewhere beautiful.

Dinner is another part of the experience, with private chefs able to create a menu around the couple and their celebration.

But perhaps the most romantic thing Haliburton Post House offers is privacy.

The property can be exclusively yours.

No strangers passing through. No second wedding nearby.

Just a lake, a handful of people who mean everything and enough time together to let the wedding feel like more than a single evening.
