Located on Pasqua Street in Regina, this flexible event hall gives couples a wonderfully uncomplicated foundation for their reception: plenty of room, tables and chairs already waiting, parking outside and the freedom to decide what the celebration becomes from there.

The hall can seat up to 200 guests banquet-style, making it large enough for the kind of wedding where family, friends and several generations can all find a place around the tables.

But perhaps its biggest advantage is what Genesis does not dictate.

There are no catering restrictions. Couples can choose the food and drinks that make sense for them, whether that means bringing in a favourite caterer, serving dishes connected to their culture or family, or building a wedding menu that simply tastes like them.

That flexibility can make an enormous difference when the wedding you are imagining does not fit neatly into a traditional venue package.

Then comes the fun part.

An open hall slowly becomes your wedding. Tables are arranged, flowers appear, music equipment arrives and the room that looked completely different hours earlier begins filling with the faces of people you know.

Eventually every chair is occupied.

Dinner becomes speeches. Someone tells a story they probably promised not to tell. The tables begin emptying as people find their way toward the music, and the room you started with becomes almost unrecognizable.
