There are wedding venues that have been polished until almost every trace of their past has disappeared.

This contemporary art centre in Montréal's former industrial district still carries the scale, brick and raw architectural character of the building that came before it.

The Main Gallery stretches across more than 4,000 square feet with ceilings rising approximately 37 feet overhead.

Beautiful diffused light.

And enough openness for a couple to create something that feels almost more like an installation than a conventional reception.

For a seated celebration, the Main Gallery can accommodate approximately 300 guests, while the smaller gallery offers another space for cocktails and more intimate gatherings.

Fonderie Darling continues to be used for weddings, but what makes it romantic is how little it resembles the usual wedding venue.
