Fairmeade Estate

The first glimpse of Fairmeade Estate feels like the beginning of the wedding before anyone has even reached the ceremony.

A long avenue of poplar trees leads into this historic Langley farm, planted in the 1940s and now forming one of those rare entrances that seems made for the moment a wedding car disappears down it.

Beyond the trees, more than 100 acres of rolling meadows and vineyard unfold around the estate.

And somewhere among them, everyone you love is waiting.

The ceremony can happen outside in the open field, where up to 150 guests gather with the historic tree-lined drive behind them.

There are no ballroom walls here.

Just farmland, sky and that beautiful moment when conversation stops because someone has appeared at the beginning of the aisle.

Then everyone moves toward the Grand Barn.

Built in 2014, the 5,000-square-foot barn brings a little elegance to its agricultural roots.

Chandeliers glow overhead.

Huge doors at either end can open the room toward the farm.

Natural light moves through the space from afternoon toward sunset while dinner tables, flowers and all the details the couple has chosen slowly take over.

Up to 150 guests can celebrate here.

And couples have the freedom to bring outside vendors into the day, helping the wedding feel like their own rather than something assembled from a fixed formula.

There is a bridal suite for the quieter hours beforehand, while tables, chairs, setup and planning support help with everything happening behind the scenes.

Later, those enormous barn doors become even more important.

Guests drift outside.

The fire pit becomes somewhere to gather between dances.

The fields darken.

And the poplar avenue that looked so grand when everyone arrived becomes quiet again.

Inside the barn, chandeliers are still glowing.

Music is still playing.

And somewhere on this old Langley farm, 150 people have temporarily forgotten there is anywhere else they need to be.
