Estate 5914 feels like the kind of wedding place you discover at the end of a country road and immediately start picturing full of people you love.

Near Williams Lake, the property centres on a restored antique barn surrounded by rolling hills, hay fields, Douglas fir and farmland, with the Fraser River close by.

The barn has just over 2,000 square feet of space and can welcome up to 130 guests. Inside are farmhouse tables, cross-back chairs, a rustic bar, a catering kitchen and twinkling lights that give the room exactly the sort of warmth an old barn deserves after dark.

Outside, the ceremony can unfold among the farm's apple, pear and cherry trees, with rustic benches and flowers keeping the setting connected to the land around it.

One of the loveliest things about Estate 5914 is the time couples are given with the property. Wedding bookings include access from Thursday through Sunday, allowing setup, rehearsal, celebration and cleanup to happen without forcing everything into a few rushed hours.

That means the weekend can slowly gather around the wedding.

People arrive. The barn changes. Flowers appear. The ceremony happens among the orchards. Then everyone follows the celebration back toward the lights and music waiting inside.
