Elk Ridge Resort feels like a wedding set deep in the boreal forest, with 600 acres of northern woodland wrapped around every part of the day.

The resort sits a short drive from Prince Albert National Park, roughly fifty minutes north of the city of Prince Albert, and holds several wedding settings. The Heritage Pavilion and the Historic Church each welcome up to 220 guests in 3,000 square feet of summer space. Inside The Lodge, the Wapiti Ballroom takes up to 200, the Whitetail Ballroom up to 40, and the Wine Room at Fredrich seats 24 for the most intimate dinner. The Pond Patio, bright and open to the trees, hosts up to 220 for an outdoor summer celebration.

An events team of its own walks the couple through the planning, and the resort's chefs build custom menus, with wedding and catering packages already put together as a starting point. Fredrich is the resort's restaurant, while The Wyld, Caddy Snack and Twigs Ice Cream cover the rest of the weekend.

Guests spread out across The Lodge, cabins, cottages, townhouses, Elk Ridge on the Lake and RV sites, so the whole family can stay on the grounds. Between the rehearsal and the ceremony there are 27 holes of golf on the Tamarack, Birch and Aspen courses.

Picture the vows in the old church or under the pavilion roof, the walk back through the trees, then the Wapiti Ballroom warming up as the speeches begin.
