If a traditional ballroom has never felt quite like you, Discovery Centre lets you get married somewhere your guests will definitely remember.

Set on the Halifax waterfront, the four-storey science centre combines harbour views and contemporary architecture with exposed industrial details, a soaring atrium, interactive galleries and even a Dome Theatre.

A seated dinner for up to 120 can take place on Level 3, while other floors can welcome larger cocktail-style celebrations. Smaller spaces are available too, giving couples plenty of freedom to shape the evening around their guest list.

And this is one wedding where exploring the venue is part of the fun. Guests can wander among interactive exhibits, while the waterfront and Halifax Harbour become part of the backdrop beyond the windows.

Food, drinks and service are handled by RCR Hospitality, leaving the science centre itself to provide the atmosphere.

Modern, playful and completely different from the expected, Discovery Centre is perfect for couples who want their wedding to feel like them, especially if chandeliers and country barns were never really the plan.
