Craigdarroch Castle

Somewhere above Victoria stands a castle that has been watching the city change for more than a century.

Its towers rise above the trees. Stained glass fills the rooms with colour. Carved wood winds around staircases and through interiors that still carry the richness of another era.

And in the middle of all that history, couples can begin something entirely new.

Craigdarroch Castle offers an intimate wedding setting unlike almost anywhere else in British Columbia.

Guests step through the doors and immediately leave the ordinary behind.

There are no blank ballroom walls waiting to become beautiful. The beauty is already there.

Light falls through stained glass. Dark wood surrounds the rooms. The grand staircase rises through the house and gives every arrival a sense that something important is about to happen.

Then music begins.

The Castle's historic Steinway pianos can become part of a wedding celebration, allowing music to move through spaces that were originally created for a family who loved to entertain.

There is something incredibly romantic about that sound travelling through an old house while guests wait for a ceremony to begin.
