Cowichan Exhibition

Cowichan Exhibition is the kind of wedding venue that keeps surprising you.

At first, there is the sheer amount of space.

Thirty-five acres of grassy fields stretch beneath Vancouver Island skies, surrounded by mountains and mature trees. Hidden among them are barns, an enormous hall and enough different corners of the property for couples to create a wedding that feels completely their own.

The ceremony can begin outside.

The dedicated field gives couples a quiet, private setting surrounded by nature, with mountain views beyond the aisle and benches already available for up to 120 guests.

There is something wonderfully simple about it.

Trees.

Grass.

Mountains.

And everyone turning around when the music begins.

Then the celebration can take a completely different direction.

For the rustic wedding, three barns on the property can each welcome up to 150 guests.

The rafters can be draped, lights and flowers can transform the interior and suddenly an agricultural building becomes something soft, warm and wonderfully romantic.

Or go much bigger.

Mellor Hall is enormous.

At 170 feet long, the flexible event space can accommodate gatherings reaching more than a thousand people, with a commercial kitchen, sound system, tables, chairs and beautiful natural light already part of the practical side of the day.

That makes Cowichan Exhibition particularly special for couples whose weddings simply do not fit neatly into a conventional ballroom.

Perhaps there are 80 people.

Perhaps there are 800.

Perhaps the dream involves a field ceremony, dinner inside and photographs beside an old barn while the mountains sit quietly in the distance.

There is room here for all of it.

Then evening reaches the Cowichan Valley.

The field that held the ceremony grows quiet.

Lights glow inside the barn or hall.

Music begins.

And all those acres that felt enormous when guests first arrived suddenly feel like one private little corner of Vancouver Island belonging entirely to the two of you.
