Copper Creek Barn

Copper Creek Barn began with a family searching for the right place for their own daughter's wedding. When that search led them outside Alberta, they decided to create the kind of barn venue they had wanted to find close to Edmonton. The result sits in the Sturgeon Valley, built with the understanding that a wedding is both a beautiful celebration and a day full of details someone needs to hold.

the charming barn welcomes up to 150 guests and books one wedding per weekend. Couples can choose between two ceremony locations before moving into the charming barn for the reception. The property also offers access to the Sturgeon River, an old miner's cabin, a horse buggy and sunset views for photographs that feel connected to the peaceful countryside.

Coordination runs through the experience, including the rehearsal, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception setup, vendor communication and wedding-day timeline. Harvest tables, Chiavari chairs, ceremony benches, lighting, decor and a choice of arches are included. There is a getting-ready suite, a smaller red barn for another preparation space, lawn games and on-site camping for immediate family. The team also handles decor takedown and cleanup at the end of the night.

That care changes the story of the day. Instead of watching family members rush between jobs, a couple can look across the charming barn and see everyone present for the same reason. Copper Creek feels romantic not only because of the gently moving river, fields and soft, golden evening light, but because it was designed to give two people the freedom to live inside their wedding rather than manage it from the sidelines.
