Cidrerie Lacroix

Before the flowers, before the music and long before anyone raises a glass to the newlyweds, there are apple trees.

Cidrerie Lacroix sits among an orchard in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, where the Lacroix family has been growing apples since 1879. More than 7,000 trees and around 20 varieties now surround a cidery where weddings can become part of a story that began generations ago.

The setting brings together two very different kinds of beauty.

Outside is the orchard, changing naturally with the seasons and giving couples a landscape that never looks exactly the same from one wedding to another.

Inside, Scandinavian-inspired architecture and contemporary Québec design create an airy, modern setting overlooking the trees.

The dining room can welcome up to approximately 100 guests for a seated celebration, while larger cocktail-style gatherings can include up to around 150. When the space is privately reserved, guests can also move onto the terrace.

Beside it, an outdoor area sits between the building and the orchard, creating a lovely place for receptions, cocktails and those quieter pauses between different parts of the day.

Food here is naturally tied to the landscape too. The venue's event menus draw from its orchard and regional agriculture, connecting the meal back to the place where everyone has gathered.

And then there is the cider.

Made on the property from Québec apples, it feels wonderfully fitting for a wedding toast.

Imagine arriving while the orchard is green and full in summer, or when the apples are heavy on the branches as autumn begins. Guests gather outside with glasses in their hands.
