Cheekye Ranch

At Cheekye Ranch, the mountains do not sit politely in the distance.

They surround the wedding.

Set across more than 60 acres beside the Cheakamus River in Squamish, the ranch brings together coastal forest, open land, horses and enormous views toward the Tantalus and Garibaldi ranges. The private wedding area gives couples several acres of their own little world inside it.

The venue is designed for celebrations that stay awhile. Its wedding packages include two nights on the property, with riverside glamping yurts, a ceremony garden, a large reception tent and room for camping or RV guests.

That changes the feeling of the whole weekend.

People arrive before the vows. They wake up near the river. Friends wander between yurts. Family has time to actually be together instead of spending the day watching the clock.

Then the ceremony begins with mountains behind it.

Cheekye can welcome weddings from smaller gatherings to celebrations of around 200 guests, with larger groups possible as well. Couples can also bring their own caterer and supply their own alcohol within the venue's requirements, giving the day room to reflect their own taste and traditions.

For a little while, the ranch becomes its own community.

There are trees, river sounds, horses nearby and people you love sleeping only a short walk away.
