A wedding at Carmel Beach can feel like a holiday shared with everyone who matters most. The lodges rest beside Shuswap Lake in Blind Bay, where mountain and serene water views surround a semi-gated resort community. Guests arrive for more than a ceremony, settling into lakeside days that slowly build toward the moment the couple says yes to forever.

Wedding events are generally limited to 75 guests, while accommodation across the property can sleep up to 100 people. The three, four and five-bedroom lodges range from 1,595 to 2,494 square feet and include open-plan living, gourmet kitchens, expansive decks, private garages and spa-inspired bathrooms. The clubhouse and common areas form part of the event setting.

Couples control their own decor, catering, photography and bar service, with the resort able to connect them with previously used suppliers. The venue can host the ceremony, dinner and dance, though seasonal restrictions and lodge-booking minimums apply. Wedding events are not hosted during part of the summer peak, so dates and current requirements should be checked carefully with the resort.

The magic is in letting the celebration become a small lakeside world. Families share breakfast in the lodges, friends wander toward the water and the ceremony arrives without anyone feeling rushed.

After dinner, the mountains darken around the serene lake while music carries through the common space.
