Camp Valhalla invites everyone to stay for the adventure.

Set along the waterfront near Nakusp, this private campground gives couples the opportunity to take over the entire property for a multi-day wedding surrounded by forest, lake views and the mountains of British Columbia.

Weddings here are deliberately different from a traditional venue.

There is no fixed ballroom telling couples where dinner must happen or how the evening should unfold. Instead, the campground becomes the canvas.

The ceremony can happen beside the lake with mountains rising behind the water.

Afterward, guests can spread through the property while photographs happen along the shoreline and among the trees. Food trucks can roll in. Games can take over part of the campground. A tent can become dinner headquarters. Then, when darkness arrives, the dance floor can continue beneath the stars.

For wedding groups, the entire campground is booked privately for a minimum three-night stay.

That changes the experience completely.

Instead of guests arriving shortly before the ceremony and leaving once the music ends, everyone can settle in. There are approximately 75 campsites with additional overflow possibilities, and the property can accommodate around 300 camping guests.

There are also the practical comforts that make a campground wedding much easier, including hot showers and Wi-Fi.

Couples bring in their own food, music, tents, chairs and other wedding pieces, which means Camp Valhalla is especially well suited to people who love the freedom to create something entirely their own.
