Aquatopia Water Garden Conservatory feels like a wedding that has slipped somewhere tropical without leaving Carp, with waterfalls tumbling beside the tables and the night sky showing through a glass ceiling above the dance floor.

The conservatory on March Road is a working water garden business first, designing natural ponds and living walls, and that shows in the setting. Greenery climbs on every side, blooms and moss walls and fountains fill in the corners, and because it is all indoors the garden looks the same in any month of the year.

Weddings here come in two sizes. A traditional wedding takes over the conservatory exclusively for up to 150 guests, with a dance floor and a seated dinner of three, four or five courses or a strolling menu. A Zen wedding is the intimate version, for up to 48 guests in a quieter corner of the greenery.

Much of the day is handled in house. Aquatopia has its own wedding coordinators, its own floral and decor designers, an executive chef and culinary team cooking with a farm to table approach, and house DJs and A/V technicians, so the couple is building the day with one group of people who already know the room.
