For couples drawn to places with a little history and a lot of character, Alton Mill Arts Centre offers something wonderfully different.

This restored heritage mill in the village of Alton brings together historic stone, contemporary art and the beauty of the surrounding Ontario countryside. Rather than starting with an empty ballroom, you begin with a place that already has a story of its own.

Weddings can move naturally between indoor and outdoor spaces, from a ceremony surrounded by nature to cocktails in the courtyard and an evening celebration within the Mill. Couples receive exclusive event use and have flexibility when choosing the vendors who will bring their day together.

The Signature Wedding, available from mid-May through mid-October, includes the Annex Courtyard and accommodates up to 120 attendees. For something smaller, the Classic Wedding includes the Pond Gallery and welcomes up to 60 guests, with availability on select days throughout the year.

Just 45 minutes from Toronto, Alton Mill feels tucked away without being far away. Historic, artistic and surrounded by nature, it is a beautiful choice for couples who would rather celebrate somewhere with personality than in a traditional ballroom.
