Built in 1867, The Alderlea is a beautifully restored heritage mansion in the heart of downtown Brampton, filled with the kind of details that make a wedding feel timeless.

Original Italianate architecture, marble fireplaces, intricate plasterwork and a wraparound verandah give the mansion its historic character, while the light-filled Pavilion opens onto landscaped gardens for a beautiful contrast of old and new.

Couples have exclusive use of the entire venue and grounds for their wedding day. Say your vows among the gardens with up to 120 guests, choose the intimate Parlour for a ceremony of up to 60, then celebrate in the Pavilion, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the property. The Pavilion can seat approximately 85 to 100 guests for a banquet.

Upstairs, the private Chisholm Room can be used as a bridal suite or getting-ready space, complete with its own washroom, kitchenette, safe and dressing area.

Just beyond the grounds is Brampton’s Gage Park, once part of the estate itself and another beautiful setting for wedding photographs.

Historic, intimate and surrounded by gardens, The Alderlea offers the romance of a 19th-century mansion with the privacy of having the entire property to yourselves for the day.
