Adamo Estate Winery

Adamo Estate Winery feels like the kind of wedding where the landscape has been quietly preparing for you long before the invitations were ever sent.

Tucked into the rolling hills of Hockley Valley in Mono, the estate is home to an 18-acre vineyard and 18,000 vines. Rows of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and other grapes climb across the property, creating a setting shaped by seasons, patience and things that become more beautiful with time. It is difficult to imagine a more fitting place to begin a marriage.

The wedding can unfold among the vines themselves.

Outside, the estate's ceremony space lets the vineyard become part of the vows. Imagine walking toward the person you are about to marry with rows of vines stretching into the countryside behind them, the people you love gathered between you and the hills, and almost nothing needed to make the moment feel extraordinary.

Then the doors open to the Great Room.

Bright and inviting, it looks across panoramic vineyard views and can open directly onto the outdoor patio through its NanaWall. On a beautiful day, indoors and outdoors begin to blur together, letting guests wander between the celebration and the vineyard while the light slowly changes across the estate.

But some of Adamo's most romantic spaces are hidden a little deeper inside the winery.

For something intimate, the Cellar brings guests among the atmosphere of the wine itself, with barrels at one end and the winery's salumi cave at the other. The Tank Room offers something completely different again, overlooking the stainless-steel tanks of the working winery and reminding you that this beautiful place is not simply dressed to look like a vineyard. Wine is actually being made around you.

There is something wonderfully poetic about getting married here.

Vines are planted. They are tended through changing seasons. They take patience. They grow slowly, year after year, becoming something worth waiting for.

And somewhere among all of that, you say forever.

Then afternoon begins slipping toward evening. The vineyard turns softer beneath the changing light, glasses are filled with wine made from the land surrounding you and everyone you love gathers closer.

Eventually, the hills outside grow dark.

The flowers are no longer quite as perfect as they were that morning. Dinner has become stories, stories have become laughter and music has finally pulled everyone from their chairs.

And beyond the windows, those thousands of vines are still there.
