Floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed wood beam architecture and the legacy of the 1988 Calgary Olympics give WinSport a setting with a true Alberta feel.
Weddings are hosted at the Markin MacPhail Centre, framed by the natural beauty of the Paskapoo Slopes in Calgary's northwest. WinSport offers options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions, and each couple has a personal Event Specialist throughout the planning.
The Legacy Rooms can be used as three separate sections or one large space of 7,200 square feet, hosting around 600 for a cocktail reception or about 450 at rounds of ten. A pre-event foyer adds space for welcome receptions.
The Paskapoo Rooms overlook the WinSport Event Centre arena, each with a skybox balcony, and together welcome up to approximately 360 for a reception or 280 at rounds of ten. The heated outdoor Festival Tent accommodates around 400 banquet style or 500 for cocktails.
Custom menus are created by the executive chef, from passed hors d'oeuvres and chef-attended stations to family-style, buffet and plated meals, and dietary requests can be accommodated. WinSport welcomes celebrations from a party of 12 up to 2,000.
Facility rental includes setup and takedown, tables and chairs, glassware, flatware and dinnerware, standard linens and a standard centrepiece. More than 1,000 free parking stalls are on site.
Accommodation partners directly across the Trans-Canada Highway, the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel and Suites Calgary West, the Sandman Hotel and Suites Calgary West and the Alt Hotel Calgary University District, offer complimentary shuttle service to the venue.
