At Venu Event Space, a wedding begins with an entrance worth remembering: a sweeping double staircase, lush indoor gardens and a grand waterfall leading guests up toward the celebration.

The venue sits in the heart of Vaughan, close to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station, and covers some 100,000 square feet of event space across two floors.

The grand lobby is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass and crowned by a 20-foot glass skylight, so the arrival feels bright and open. Upstairs, the main banquet room has 18-foot ceilings and a look that blends modern lines with a classic feel.

There are eight rooms in all, which suits both small gatherings and very large ones. The main second-floor banquet space can be set for one to three events at once and seats up to 1,000 guests, and a guest elevator makes the upper level easy for everyone to reach.

The kitchen is led by an Executive Chef with expertise in European cuisine, and menus are built around each couple. The food team works with couples to choose dishes that make the day their own.

Event directors guide couples through the ceremony and reception plans, table design, décor, flowers and entertainment. Weekend appointments are a good time to visit, since couples can see the rooms dressed for a celebration.
