Ukrainian Banquet and Convention Hall

A wedding at the Ukrainian Banquet and Convention Hall carries a sense of community and tradition, in a bright hall where families have gathered to celebrate for years.

The hall stands on a quiet street in Ottawa's west end, just west of the Westboro neighbourhood and only minutes from the Ottawa River Parkway and the Queensway.

Guests step in at street level to a welcoming foyer and cloakroom before flowing into a light-filled, air-conditioned hall. The space covers 5,000 square feet on two levels and includes a stage, sound and lighting systems and audio visual equipment for speeches, first dances and live music.

The room can hold up to 350 guests, and the tables are set up to suit each couple's plan, from round tables for eight to long rectangular tables, with sample layouts for groups of about 120 up to 350.

Couples have the freedom to bring in their own caterer, who can work in the commercial kitchen with gas stoves, ovens, a fridge and a freezer. A separate bar area with a sink and fridges lets couples run their own refreshments. On Friday and Saturday nights the hall is available until 1 a.m.

On-site parking holds about 40 cars, with more parking on nearby streets.
