TRU Conference Centre

A garden aisle framed by a trellis, tiered levels of flowers and greenery, and a ballroom glowing under chandeliers: the TRU Conference Centre brings ceremony and reception together on one campus.

Located at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, the centre offers private gardens, elegant venues and wedding suites.

Ceremonies take place in the Horticulture Gardens, a private outdoor space for gatherings from ten up to around 200 guests. Couples can choose the gazebo, for up to 200 guests, or the stairs, for about 130. The gardens also work for a post-ceremony cocktail reception.

The Grand Hall is the largest reception room, a 5,400-square-foot ballroom with elevated ceilings and brushed silver chandeliers for approximately 140 to 350 guests.

The Mountain Room offers warm wood beams and retractable windows opening to a private patio for about 80 to 140 guests, while the Terrace Room, with floor-to-ceiling windows, suits up to around 80.

Catering and bar service are provided on site. Reception amenities include tables, a stage with pipe and drape, a dance floor, a house sound system and planning support from a coordinator.

Guests can stay at TRU Residence, where Executive Loft Suites and two- and four-bedroom suites are available.
