On the shore of Shuswap Lake in Salmon Arm, Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm gives couples a wedding framed by water and mountains, with everything from the rehearsal dinner to the last dance in one place.
Ceremonies can be held on a grassy area with Shuswap Lake and the nearby mountains as a backdrop, and the space can be shaped for small or large guest lists. Couples are welcome to bring their own tents or arches, or the resort can recommend rental companies, and a variety of indoor options are also available.
Photographers can capture the moment of the vows from a different perspective, with access to one of the balcony suites overlooking the ceremony site.
Receptions centre on the Grand Ballroom, more than 4,000 square feet of customizable space. It can seat up to approximately 216 guests for a banquet and welcome around 400 for a reception.
Smaller celebrations have options too. The Balmoral salon seats about 72 for a banquet or 150 for a reception, while the Seymour and Hudson salons each seat about 56 and host around 100 for a reception. The Grandview and Monashee rooms suit more intimate gatherings of roughly 50 to 55 guests reception style.
Outdoors, the Lakeview Terrace looks out over Shuswap Lake and Bastion Mountain and can accommodate an outdoor event for up to 250 people.
Catering comes from the resort's own kitchen, with a selection of plated and buffet dinners or a customized menu shaped around the couple.
Guest rooms and suites on site mean family and friends can stay steps from the celebration, with an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub and full-service spa to enjoy before or after the wedding.
For couples who picture saying their vows by Shuswap Lake and celebrating in a ballroom large enough for everyone they love, Prestige Harbourfront Resort Salmon Arm offers a lakeside wedding with catering and accommodation all in one place.
