The Postmark Hotel

Some buildings have been gathering people together for more than a century. The Postmark Hotel is one of them.

The landmark on Newmarket's Main Street opened in 1914 as a post office and community hub. Today it has been reimagined as a boutique hotel with 55 guest rooms decorated with Canadian art in a modern, eclectic style.

The hotel welcomes weddings of all shapes and sizes, and its team can host every step of the journey, from an engagement party or bridal shower to the ceremony and reception.

The Event Space seats up to approximately 120 guests, or around 200 for a cocktail reception, with floor-to-ceiling rooftop views, a wraparound terrace and a fully equipped built-in bar.

The Rooftop offers seating for around 70 guests indoors or up to 186 for a cocktail reception, with a large marble bar, skyline views and its own wraparound terrace.

For something more relaxed, the Lobby seats around 50 guests beside a fireplace and marble bar with a connected patio, while the Private Dining Room hosts 28 seated or 40 for cocktails, with a private entrance and terrace.

The events team helps with catering, vendors and group bookings, and couples booking five or more rooms can ask about a group discount so everyone can stay together and keep the celebration going.
