The Nash

At The Nash, a wedding brings a heritage hotel back to life, with dinner served under design details drawn from the building's grand early days.

The restaurant sits in Calgary's historic Inglewood neighbourhood inside the restored National Hotel, built in 1907. In its time it was a leading Calgary hotel and the local tavern for workers from the nearby railway station.

During the restoration, everything from the floorboards to the lighting and tabletops was crafted to echo the hotel's past. The main dining room seats up to 125 for dinner or holds 200 for a cocktail reception.

Cocktail hour can take place in the Off Cut Bar, a modern speakeasy whose walls are lined with archival mug shots of the rogues who once drank in the area. It seats 50 or welcomes 75 standing, with craft beer, small batch bourbons and signature cocktails.

Weddings include an in house planner and day of coordinator, custom menus for every dietary need, a ceremony space with a signing table, room for dancing and a DJ, and an AV system for speeches. The food is built on natural, local ingredients from sustainable growers.
