The Loft on King Street

At The Loft on King Street, couples say their vows under old wooden roof beams and exposed brick that have stood on King Street West since 1844.

The building began life as a carriage works and later turned out luxury auto bodies before becoming a converted warehouse. Today the third floor of this four-storey heritage building has been restored, keeping its original brick and timber while adding modern furnishings.

The Loft covers about 1,850 square feet with a flexible layout, so a ceremony and the reception can happen in the same place. Guests stay put while the room turns over, with no need to travel between venues.

For a seated dinner the space holds roughly 80 to 100 guests, and a cocktail-style celebration can welcome up to 200.

Menus come from the venue's partner caterers and range from relaxed and casual to fine dining, shaped around what each couple wants.

The location puts guests in the middle of downtown Toronto's King West, close to the city's restaurants, bars and hotels for the rest of the weekend.
