The Intervale

At The Intervale, a wedding becomes a multi day gathering at a riverside log lodge perched on a cliff above the Judique Intervale River, in the hills of Cape Breton's west coast.

The lodge sits just south of Port Hood, on the sunset side of Cape Breton Island, a short drive from white sand beaches and a natural gateway to the Cabot Trail and the Highlands.

Its micro wedding package includes a five night stay from Wednesday to Monday in the 12 bedroom lodge and three one bedroom apartment suites, with exclusive use of the whole property, including the Event Barn.

Tables, seating and pew benches are provided for up to 50 guests, with speakers and audio visual equipment on site. A special event permit allows a bring your own bar, and the team can recommend outside caterers.

Every bedroom has a private ensuite, and the lodge has a fully stocked chef's kitchen with a barbecue and pizza oven, several common rooms, a three season porch and harvest tables for long dinners outside.
