The Barn Playhouse

At The Barn Playhouse, couples celebrate on a working family farm where a barn that has hosted more than thirty seasons of live theatre becomes their dining room for the night.

The farmyard sits about 25 kilometres north of Saskatoon along Highway 12, framed by tall mature trees and grain fields that stretch out on every side. It is a quiet, peaceful spot that shows off the prairie at its best.

Ceremonies can take place in the farm's pavilion, which seats up to 130 guests, with the trees and fields as a backdrop.

Afterward everyone moves into the barn, which has been turned into a dining room that dresses up beautifully for a wedding and holds up to 200 people for a buffet dinner.

The whole farm is open for photos, from the shady yard to the edges of the fields, and there is plenty of room for guests to spread out and enjoy the evening.

The general manager works with each couple personally as they plan, so the day feels like being welcomed into a family home.
