Teslin Tlingit Heritage Centre

At the Teslin Tlingit Heritage Centre, a wedding unfolds on the shore of Teslin Lake with Tle'nax T'Awei, the mountain also called Lone Sheep Mountain or the Three Aces, rising across the water.

The centre sits about five kilometres north of the Village of Teslin. It was created by the Teslin Tlingit Council to share and keep alive Tlingit language, knowledge and artistry.

Inside, the building holds the Great Hall, the Elders' Room, a gallery and a gift shop. The gallery shows the Council's permanent collection, with work by Teslin Tlingit artists made over the last hundred years.

Down at the water's edge are a canoe shed, a traditional fish camp and a kitchen cache, used through the year for outdoor programs and lovely as a setting for photos.

The centre welcomes weddings alongside retreats and community gatherings, and its facilities can be booked through the heritage team.
