This family-run, four-season resort sits on a rock ridge carved by glaciers, overlooking the Northeast Arm of Lake Temagami just south of the town of Temagami. The setting is natural and unspoiled, with shoreline views from across the property.

Weddings here are exclusive. Couples book out the entire resort for their celebration, so the grounds, restaurant, lodging and lower-level meeting room are theirs alone. The resort suggests a boutique guest list of about 60, including the wedding party and family.

A waterfront ceremony is an option, and the licensed restaurant with its outdoor patio can host the reception, or the ceremony itself if needed. Everything from a rehearsal dinner to the morning-after breakfast can happen in one place.

All 22 units come with the booking, from motel-style rooms and suites to rustic cabins, sleeping 44 in total.

Between celebrations, guests can canoe, kayak, swim, fish or hike, play horseshoes, gather around the lakeside fire pit or simply sit at the water's edge. Weddings are not booked in the busy months of July and August.
