At TC Energy Centre, a wedding begins with a wide open banquet hall just outside the city, ready to be dressed in whatever colours and style a couple dreams up.

The centre sits in Ile des Chenes, about seven minutes south of Winnipeg along Highway 59. It is a modern, full service banquet hall with roughly 30,000 square feet of space under one roof.

The licensed main hall welcomes up to 500 guests, so it suits a large family celebration as easily as a smaller gathering. A separate meeting room holds up to 70 people for a more intimate moment during the day.

A wedding rental of the main hall comes with tables and chairs set up and taken down, cocktail tables, high chairs, a podium, and a sound system with a projector for speeches, slideshows and first dance music. Bartenders, security and an on site event manager are part of the day, so the couple can stay with their guests.

A commercial kitchen supports catering, and the centre keeps a list of preferred vendors to help with the rest. Couples who plan both a social and a wedding here receive a discount on the wedding.
