Taj Banquet Hall

A wedding at Taj Banquet Hall is built for a big, joyful crowd, with room for every cousin, aunt and family friend to share the meal and fill the dance floor together.

The hall sits in Edmonton and has been part of the city's celebrations since December 2001. Its official grand opening in January 2002 drew more than a thousand Edmontonians, a fitting start for a room made for large gatherings.

The space is a blank canvas for decorating, so couples can dress it in their own colours and theme, from bold and bright to something glamorous. There is plenty of floor for guests to dine comfortably and then dance late into the evening.

Food comes from the hall's own kitchen, with set Indian menus featuring dishes such as paneer tikka, butter chicken, malai kofta and gulab jamun, alongside Western menus with roast beef, carved turkey, salmon, cabbage rolls and perogies. Couples may bring their own liquor, and the team can arrange a DJ, photographer or videographer, or couples can book their own.

Summer dates fill quickly, so the hall suggests reserving six months to a year ahead for a wedding reception.
