Sunshine Ranch Weddings

The minute you step onto the Sunshine Ranch, ranch life begins. Fields and meadows stretch out where beef cattle and ranch horses graze the Cariboo grass.

The Sunshine Ranch is a working family ranch in Horsefly, in the Cariboo region of British Columbia, and a ceremony and reception venue open for weddings from May to September.

Each summer the barns are emptied of hay equipment and cleaned from top to bottom to prepare for the wedding and event season. Couples travel from across BC and Canada to celebrate surrounded by the outdoors and the sights of ranch life.

The ranch offers several unique settings, including a private saloon, a private lake, the Little Horsefly River, horse-drawn carriages and the barn. The facility has a maximum capacity of 150 guests.

Ceremony sites, a reception barn, catering and bartender service are all offered. The reception barn comes with tables, chairs, linen and dishes, so there is no running around for rentals.

An open barn can be used for happy hour, or to hold the ceremony under a roof if the weather turns. There is plenty of parking, and drivers are available to take guests to their accommodations in Horsefly after the celebration.
