Stephen Leacock Museum

The Leacock Museum sits in Orillia, operated by the City of Orillia. Stephen Leacock purchased the land in 1908 and, in 1928, built the Leacock House here, a home he hoped would become "a charming English place."

The museum welcomes events, programs and special gatherings, and the grounds can be rented for get-togethers on a property featuring gardens and waterfront views.

For smaller occasions, two indoor spaces can be booked. The Boathouse holds a maximum of 30 people, while the Living Room in the historic house holds up to 24, making either one a natural fit for an intimate gathering.

A couple might picture a small celebration with close family, a toast in a room that once hosted the author's friends, and photographs wandering out toward the water.

Bookings are arranged directly with the museum, with separate request forms for indoor spaces and for the grounds.
