Light pours through century-old stained glass, carved oak frames the chancel, and a quiet courtyard fountain waits outside for photographs.

The Church of St Peter and St Simon-the-Apostle stands between Sherbourne and Parliament, with Sherbourne station less than a block away.

The church is a graceful Jacobean Arts and Crafts building designed by William L. Symons, with a later addition by Eden Smith. Highlights include a carved oak rood screen from 1923, the 1899 Chancel Window by Robert McCausland and four miracle windows by Gerald E. Tooke.

Ceremonies can take place in the church, which seats up to 514 guests in its pews, or in the Memorial Chapel, a more intimate option for about 40.

Receptions move just steps away to the Parish Hall, which accommodates up to approximately 150 seated or 250 standing guests. A stage is available for live music, and a large kitchen with a restaurant-sized stove, commercial dishwasher and oversized island connects directly to the hall for caterers.

The Narthex, the hub of the building, suits smaller receptions for around 75 guests, and the cloister-like courtyard and fountain provide a lovely backdrop for photos.

The building is barrier-free, with an elevator connecting the church, hall and other rooms, and access to every space except the choir loft.
