Few settings feel as calm as a golf course in the early evening, with the fairways stretching out and the light softening over the water.
Springfield Golf & Country Club on Gordon Street in Guelph has been bringing people together for golf, dining and life's big moments since 1989. The course was designed by John Robinson, with water coming into play on 10 holes and an island green on the signature 13th.
Couples can exchange vows at the Garden Gazebo, an elegant outdoor ceremony space set among manicured gardens. The ceremony package includes a guaranteed indoor backup in case of weather, setup and teardown of both locations, a complimentary rehearsal the day before, and an on-site ceremony coordinator.
Private event spaces overlook the golf course. The Tamarac Room, with its dance floor, seats up to approximately 140 guests for dinner or around 170 for a cocktail reception. The Pines Room welcomes about 50 for dinner or 65 for cocktails, while the Greensview seats around 50 to 60 for dinner and up to 100 for a cocktail gathering.
All room rentals include linens, flatware, glassware, staffing and a bartender if required, along with setup and teardown.
The club's culinary team is the sole provider of food and beverage, and menus can be customized. Its all-inclusive wedding packages bring together a pre-dinner cocktail reception, a three- or four-course dinner served country style, open bar service after dinner and a choice of a late-night nacho bar or sweet table.
The events team also hosts engagement dinners and showers, so the celebrations leading up to the day can happen in the same place.
For couples who picture a garden ceremony, golf course views and a reception with everything taken care of, Springfield Golf & Country Club offers a wedding that feels both polished and easygoing.
