South Africa House Guest Lodge

For couples looking for something a little different, South Africa House brings a touch of South Africa to Wainwright, Alberta.

Established in 2016, the guest house is filled with beautiful African decor and hand-crafted room pieces, giving every gathering a character all its own.

The property is especially suited to outdoor ceremonies, small indoor ceremonies, elopements, photography, bridal showers and cocktail hours. Couples can face east with a forest setting behind them, face west toward a garden planted with unique flowers and trees, or head to the back of the property for a ceremony under the trees in a little forest with a barn in the background.

The wedding package covers time for a ceremony and cocktail hour or photos around the property for up to 170 guests. For a more intimate moment, ceremonies can also be held inside the house with up to 50 guests.

Couples can add a mimosa and fruit bar, cocktail hour appetizers or a rehearsal dinner, along with a PA system for the ceremony.

The lodge offers five queen suites, including a bridal suite area, so the wedding party can stay close and get ready together.
