Silver Birch Camps

At Silver Birch Camps, a wedding takes place on a sloping lawn above Lake of the Woods, with a post and beam lodge waiting at the top of the hill.

This family owned property was founded in the early 1930s as a summer fishing retreat and covers 20 acres of trees and green space on Lake of the Woods near Kenora, in the region known as Sunset Country.

The lodge, expanded in 2010, has a wood burning stone fireplace, a fully licensed restaurant and bar, and an entertainment area. Inside it holds 85 to 95 guests, and the deck adds room for another 50 to 75, so both small and larger celebrations fit comfortably.

The lodge restaurant and bar look after the food and drinks. A complimentary suite is set aside for getting ready before the ceremony, and another suite is offered to the newlyweds for their wedding night.

Guests can stay in the lodge's executive suites or in one of seven log style cabins. Outside the wedding, the property offers a beach, recreation facilities and guided fishing.
