A wedding reception at Shelter in Calgary's Beltline glows in low light, with velvet couches, sixteen foot ceilings and a sculptural light fixture made from more than 5,000 bulbs.

This award winning cocktail bar blends industrial design with a dark nod to the bars of the pre-prohibition era: exposed beams, concrete pillars and a dark, glamorous palette.

Shelter is built for small celebrations, with room for up to 40 guests mingling. It suits cocktail style receptions, small seated dinners and full buyouts.

Each event comes with a dedicated service team, food from rotating chefs, a full bar program and a sound system with playlist control. Couples can also work with the bar team to create custom cocktails for the night.
