Shekinah Retreat Centre gives couples the feeling of disappearing into nature with everyone they love for an entire wedding weekend.

Located on hundreds of acres north of Saskatoon, the retreat centre surrounds celebrations with forest, trails, open landscape and a sense of quiet that begins long before the ceremony itself.

Timber Lodge is the heart of the wedding experience.

Built using materials from an old grain elevator, the lodge combines rustic Saskatchewan character with a banquet room capable of welcoming up to approximately 200 guests.

The venue describes celebrations of around 130 to 170 as especially comfortable.

A large scenic deck extends the gathering outside, while the outdoor amphitheatre creates another possibility for ceremonies surrounded by nature.

Food can be prepared through Shekinah's own kitchen team, and the staff can also help with rehearsal dinners, brunches and other meals surrounding the wedding.

One of the greatest advantages is accommodation.

Timber Lodge can sleep more than 80 people, allowing families and close friends to remain together rather than leaving immediately after the reception.

That can change the whole rhythm of the celebration.
