A wedding at Second Floor Events feels like a stylish downtown party, with tall windows and original hardwood floors setting the tone inside a renovated heritage building on King Street West.

The open concept loft covers about 3,000 square feet in the heart of Toronto. Eight foot windows fill the room with light, and customizable lightboxes and blank walls let couples add photos, monograms or their own décor.

The ceremony and reception can both happen here. For a seated dinner of up to 150, guests enjoy passed canapés on one side of the room while the staff turn the space around after the vows. A cocktail style celebration with tapas sized dishes can welcome up to 350.

Automated room dividers reshape the floor at the push of a button, and a built-in welcome area handles sign-in, coat check or favours. A private suite with a lock, its own washroom and a sitting area gives the couple a quiet place to get ready.

Food comes from the in-house catering team led by an executive chef, with menus made for each couple. The 36 foot bar can run an open bar, a host tab or other options, and a built-in DJ booth and sound system keep the dance floor going.

Every couple works with a dedicated venue specialist from booking through the big day, along with servers and bartenders.
